MISSING HER:)

“What’s Dengue?” He asked Sam who was sitting on his left side. In a few minutes, they will start taping for Tuesdelicious Shoutout.

Sam who was busy with his phone turned to him. “Why? Who got dengue?” Sam inquired back.

“Devon…” He responded with apprehension. Sam’s expression explicitly shows that dengue is a serious medical condition.

“Really?” Sam seemed worried.

“Wait. Is dengue serious?”  He asked again.

Sam leaned back on his seat. “It killed my cousin when he was 15. You could bleed to death when it was diagnosed late.”

 

He swallowed twice. “Really?”

Sam nodded. He did not want to elaborate. Instead, he tried to call someone with his phone.

“Sam! Ikaw na!” One of the SO staffs called. “Double time tayo” He added with hand signal.

Sam sighed in disappointment and put back his phone inside his pocket.

James was left thinking. Dengue could kill people. Sure, he knows that Devon is sick. She’s been suffering from fever for days. Of course, he is worried but Devon as usual assured him she’s doing fine. He wasn’t aware that Devon has Dengue. Joe just told him that.

In the past days, he was busy with work. He smiled. A work with Devon is never a work. And that’s why, he terribly misses her. It is always fun to be with his bubbly girl.

This is his longest day indeed. There’s nothing like Devon on his side. Still, he tried to smile, to jump and dance like the rest of the teenmates. He maybe too obvious because Empress who was hosting “ready tweet go” at his front turned to him.

“Wait lang guys may gustong manawagan. James ano nga ba yun?” Empress said in glee.

“Devon I hope you are watching this. Get well soon ,OK? We miss you here. Tuesdelicious isn’t the same without you, OK? I’ll see you”

Jaevon fans were shouting in merriment. Some were even jumping while holding huge tarps with him and Devon’s faces on them. He gave a genuine smile. It wasn’t made for the fans. It was made for Devon.

Their taping was over. He was walking to his dressing room. A fan called his name. He turned and smiled. He recognized her. She is one of the Jaevon. He walked towards her. “Why?” He smiled again. The girl wasn’t alone, she’s with two other girls. He waved at them. “Hi!”

“James we are making a “get well soon” video for Devon. We want you to be part of it.” The girl told him.

James smiled. “I have separate plan. I hope you don’t mind.”

“Really? Okay! We understand but can we take pictures of you?”

“Sure!”

James made three knocks and then he opened the door. He said hello to her two sisters that were sitting on the couch.

“How is she?” As he asked this, he was not looking at her sisters but to Devon who suddenly brings her gaze to meet his.

For a fleeting instance, his stares glued at her face. She is so pale, seemed have lost weight. But, she was smiling. “Anong ginagawa niyo dito?” Devon asked.

“Dumadalaw siyempre!” Joe answered as he placed the basket of fruits on the hospital table. He forgot that Joe is with him.

“How are you?” James asked Devon. He sat on her bed and held her hand.

Devon stared at his hand stroking hers. She pulled her hand from his grip but she was unsuccessful. He doesn’t care about the people around. He missed her so much. And  he would hold her hands and look at her as long as he wants.

“Ehem, ehem!” Joe tried to catch his attention.

He turned to his back and saw Tito Sonny and Tita Lyn standing right behind him. He abruptly released her hand. He then stood up and greeted Devon’s parents as Joe and Devon's sisters exchanged amused looks.   

***Hindi ko kasi napanood ang SO nung Tuesday kaya kung ano na lang naisip ko. Kaya salamat sa mga updates sa FB:)
