The untold story of Dylan and Ian

Dylan is seriously nervous. It is her first day at Eton, contrary to what she assured her aunt a minute ago. She has seen enough in movies, bullies are rampant at school like this. Just a while ago she was so thrilled to be here but now she’s so anxious. But hey! She thought, Dylan, you are not a child anymore; surely you can pulled it off. She walks straight by the pathway after a long and deep breath. She observes every people as much as she could, to figure out who’s the nicest to ask directions to.

As she walked, she saw someone so engrossed to a trigonometry book sitting on the bench. She smiled. This is a good sign. Aside from he is cute, she guessed they would appreciate each other.

“Excuse me! Can you please tell me how to go to SB-503? She politely asked.

He raised his head and smiled. “You don’t look like a first year?”

“Yes, I am not! I’m a transferee. Senior student”

“Oh! That means we could be classmates.”

“I belong to section…A-Therese” Dylan responded.

“That’s what I thought, because you look really smart. We still have 45 minutes, come on, let’s go”. I’m sorry. I’m Christian, or Ian by the way.  It was so common, right? My mom
likes that name so much. That’s because she already knows that I’ll grow up God-fearing, kind hearted and the likes” he extended his hand for a handshake. This Ian is friendly and quite funny as well.

“I’m Dylan. Thanks! You are so nice. I thought today would be a toughest day.  And don’t worry! Your name suits you well” Dylan said smiling to her humorous new friend

That’s the start of their story. From that day on, Ian and Dylan are friends. For the first week, they are always together. Dylan learned that like her, Ian also loves school especially math. Ian also is so thrilled to have a girl friend in the school that’s not so conscious of how she looks.

On her second week, she was able to meet Frances and Brannon. Both are so nice. Frances told her that she wasn’t able to attend the first week because her sister who’s based in New
Zealand got married. Brannon was in the Australia also for a vacation.

Cedric that time was lazy as usual. He came back from Australia for the summer vacation before the start of the class but he chose not to attend. He doesn’t want going to school. He doesn’t need the boring first week because he’s damn sure he can pass all the exams.

Cedric is deep and mysterious, a kind of snob. Though Brannon is totally Cedric’s opposite, they are best of friends. Ian, Frances and Dylan get along so well and since Brannon is always next to Frances. Cedric doesn’t have the choice but to be with their group.

Dylan has time to everyone. But Ian had her most time. When he got dengue and his mom was in the States, she was constantly there for him. She took care of him, she even donated 350cc of her blood. And asked 3 other of their classmates to donate too. She’s so nice and a
sweet. In fact his mom likes her so much.

Present…

Ian can’t help thinking of the past. He remembers when the closest guy to Dylan was him, they always talk.  Everyday he always calls her, and vice versa. They eat together everyday, all those things were in the past now. She already has a boyfriend, a real one. They are officially a couple.

He’s been absent for a week, he faked his illness. His mom understands him for a couple of days but this morning he dragged him into the shower and lectured him about heartbreaks and moving on.

This is indeed his first heartbreak. Before, when he sees that Dylan lights up because of
Cedric he wanted to cry. But as long as they are together, he can stand it.

Few days ago, when he heard the news he wanted to die. And now, he’s walking like a zombie along the corridor. He’s breathing but his system was shut off. He continued walking; he’s just a few feet way from their room when the door opened. A familiar face halted his slow walk. He was stunned. How could he forget the face of his dream?

Dylan really missed Ian, as soon as he realized that she’s staring at him, she runs to him and hugged him tightly.

“I really missed you. How are you? Are you sure you’re okay? ” Dylan is genuinely concern of his Kuya Ian.

“I wanted to visit you but Tita said that your doctor advised no visitors”

“I really missed you”. She hugged him again. “I will help you for the lessons that you’ve missed.” said Dylan.
Ian smiled. How could he possibly not fall for a sweet girl like her? “I really missed you Dylan” he whispered gently in to her ears
